Robin — Director

I joined the Whaley office in 2010 after doing a degree in Classical Literature and Civilisation at the University of Birmingham. After completing AAT, I moved into managing the Whaley and Poynton offices and hope to continue growing the business for many years to come. In my spare time, I love having fun with my two girls and my wife. I'm completely obsessed with running and love doing anything from a parkrun to an ultramarathon. I've also played the guitar for 20 years, for many of which I dreamed of becoming famous. I love social media and manage many accounts which has sparked my interest in doing accountancy work for content creators and online businesses.

Ellie — Chartered Accountant

I joined the Whaley Bridge office in 2011 and began an apprenticeship studying AAT at college.

After college I moved on to the ACCA qualification, during which I discovered an interest in tax. After completing ACCA I decided to study towards the Chartered Institute of Taxation qualification, completing the examinations in early 2020.

In my spare time I enjoy long walks in the local hills with my husband and french bulldog, visiting new places in Europe and exploring this country in our motorhome.

Tara — Accountant

I have worked at the Whaley Bridge office since 2018.

After working as a restaurant manager for 10 years, I decided I wanted a career change to suit my family. So, I went back to college at the age of 28 and studied to become a fully AAT qualified accountant!

I am always extending my knowledge through CPD courses and webinars to keep up with the latest updates.

Outside of the office, I have 2 teenagers who are football and cheerleading obsessed so this takes up most of my spare time. My favourite thing to do is go on holiday with my family, and explore new places, although Cyprus will always have my heart!

Amy - Accountant

I started working for the family firm in 2018, and am now a level 4 qualified accountant. I provide the QuickBooks training for clients as well as VAT returns, accounts and tax returns. I have two daughters so most of my spare time is consumed with extra clubs and cheerleading competitions! We have two cat babies that we love and enjoy family days out and going for food and drinks with friends and family. I am in my happy place being cosy at home, watching tv series and drinking iced coffee (or prosecco).

Chris - VAT

I joined the company full time in 2019, and started out doing administration. I moved up to doing VAT Returns regularly for clients, which I have been doing for the past 5+ years. Keeping up to date with latest VAT changes as well through websites or videos. I completed my Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship with AAT and I am QuickBooks Certified. I like spending time with my friends and family, but also enjoy doing solo trips, going to gigs, outdoor exercise and watching football.

Helen — Accounts Assistant

I joined Leathley & Co in 2019 in the Poynton office, as Glenn's "right-hand woman" two days a week, after 30 years as a secondary maths teacher. I look after most of the Poynton sole traders, and find it a fascinating insight into the varied lives of our clients. I am QuickBooks level 2 certified. I have a husband, 3 children, two grandchildren and two dogs. I'm trustee of a charity called India Direct. I love quizzes and puzzles and travelling the world.

I joined Leathley & Co in 2026, taking up a role in administration and splitting my time between the Whaley Bridge and Poynton offices.
Prior to working at Leathley & Co I worked in the Emergency Services, but made the difficult decision to leave this role to have more time to pursue my passions in the field of sport.
In my spare time I spend a great deal of time running and training as well as progressing my ambitions in academia.
